Is 2012 the year to make it happen???
I was perusing facebook and came across a blog of one of my high school classmates (shout out to jennifer wesbrock evers) and I thought....hmmmm....maybe I need a blog. This is not a case of "keeping up with the jones" rather i want one as I am partaking on a weight loss journey and decided I need to be held accountable. Also, I would like the support of others out there starting a similar journey, whether it be weight loss, eating healthier, getting more exercise or even financial health. This is a blog for anyone who wants some aspect of their life to shape up in 2012. Feel free to post and let's support each other! Keep checking on my journey. Hopefully together, we can have a successful 2012.

You go MaryBeth!
ReplyDeleteYou can do this thing! Try downloading the app "lose it." I found it and it has helped me a lot. You and I have talked about the good old-fashioned counting calories method and I decided that since I had worked out for multiple weeks and had been eating fairly healthy, but not losing much weight that I should track my calories to see if that was the 'issue!' Well.......apparently it was. Just last week I lost 7lbs! So, although I was eating healthier, apprently I was eating too much "healthy!" This app is awesome. It tells you how many calories you are allowed for the amount of weight loss you want. You track your food as well as your excercise. VERY easy~! All done on my phone or pc. We CAN go from 'fatties' to 'hotties!' I love you MB and I am excited for where 2012 will take you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Leni. You are doing great. you know i think counting calories is the best way always. I had an app I found I really liked but it froze up so i will try the one you recommended! thanks. once I start feeling better I will be hitting the gym again too. I am hoping it will boost up my immune system...I have been sick a lot lately and that is unlike me. How many calories are you shooting for. I can have about 1800 a day and still lose 2 lbs a week so that is my goal.
DeleteHey Mary Beth -- I think this is a fabulous idea! I too have started the weight loss journey again. We are having a "Biggest Loser" contest in my office. Of course, I weigh more than anyone so I should kick all their butts! I will be looking forward to your photo in May. We need to keep encouraging each other and doing something everyday to continue on the journey. My love to you -- Laura
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Sis
